HDC Training and Consultancy Ltd (HDC) is an independent consultancy and training company, established in 2006 and specialising in providing Leadership and Management, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI)  and  Teaching and Learning support.    HDC works with a range of organisations including schools, colleges and universities, the voluntary sector, local authorities, private sector companies and SME’s.

Director Dr Helen A Deane is an independent consultant and trainer with a background in human resources, finance and administration, is a qualified teacher and has held Senior Education Leadership roles in the FE and HE sector.

With  a doctorate in Education  her research interest is in education leadership and diversity and she promotes the raising of cultural and diversity awareness as key to improving the quality of leadership and education processes and  practices.  A qualified and practicing life coach, Helen engages coaching processes in all her work.

She is a highly personable and experienced consultant and trainer who brings impact, passion and cutting-edge, professional practice and research-based knowledge to her consultancy and training projects.

Her delivery style is challenging, entertaining, reliable and applicable to the world in which we live and work. She has an excellent track record in motivating individuals and organisations to reflect on, change and introduce different approaches to their practice.
